Lily ponds are known to represent peace, spiritual awakening and purity, because water lilies rise from the depths of muddy ponds, to find grace and light, they symbolize the human soul flourishing despite life’s murky moments.

I’m drawn to this ‘strength through light’ that lily ponds represent.

That is why I capture the way that light dances across the canvas through my subject matter.
